health and safety

We believe that following the correct safety procedures on-site is crucial to the health and safety of our employees, and we are therefore 100% compliant in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, where inspectors continuously review that we are complying with regulations. We only employ sub-contractors who are completely safety compliant in accordance with our company policies. By providing on-going training with regard to safety work practices, as well as providing our employees with both safety equipment and the know-how on how to operate equipment relevant to their job specification.

All our employees are registered with the Building Industrial Council (BIBC) who would represent the employee should a dispute or labour legislation issue occur. Our employees have medical cover with the BIBC and are also ensured of funding should they be unable to work due to a work related injury.

We are also covered by the Workmans Compensation Fund which covers workers if they are hurt in an accident while carrying out their duties.

We believe the success of our business depends on our people. We therefore put our confidence and faith in individuals who show potential and commitment for self-improvement through skills-development and we encourage on-going training through the NHBRC. Through the training programs provided by the NHBRC, we are able to help our employees keep up to date on new building technologies which are mutually beneficial to the Cape Impact Group as well as the development of the employee.

At Cape Impact, we view our employees as an investment in our organization which will help to strengthen our standing in the industry. For this reason, we have dedicated employees committed to putting our clients needs first.
